GROUTBAGS
The core business of Neptune’s subsea stabilisation division is the rectification of pipeline freespans using pipeline supports fabricated from fabric formwork. The Stabilised Base Pyramids (SBP Series Groutbags) provide high payload stable support via a compartmentalised, partitioned construction that can be custom designed to meet specific requirements.
GROUTMAT or GM Series Groutbags provide an economical solution for smaller spans, stabilisation or impact protection, and can be used in conjunction with SBP Series Groutbags for pipeline crossovers. Similarly, the bitumen filled BITUMAT has the ability to mould around a pipeline or cable to provide a high degree of protection against impact damage. The bitumen rich mix prevents chemical breakdown or corrosion, thus preserving the integrity of the mattress.
SEAMAT & ANCHORMAT
The SEAMAT precast concrete mattress system provides operators in the oil and gas industry with a cost effective solution to pipeline/cable protection and stabilisation. SEAMAT mattresses conform to the contour of the pipeline and seabed due to the fully articulating nature of each mat. Using the portable moulding system, SEAMAT can be rapidly and efficiently manufactured on location. A natural progression of the SEAMAT concept is the ANCHORMAT. This mattress consists of what is essentially two SEAMAT mattresses that are connected via polyester webbing slings, which are fully cast into the concrete during manufacture. This design allows the load from the mattress to be transferred to the pipeline without causing an increase in the pipeline profile.
SMARTMAT
SMARTMAT combines the proven technology of the articulating SEAMAT with an integrated cathodic protection system. This combination provides stabilisation with the added benefit of cathodic protection for 30 years, up to three kilometres in either direction from the location of the SMARTMAT. As a result, SMARTMAT provides an excellent solution for the retrofit of aging or damaged pipelines and subsea structures, particularly where scour is of concern.
Smaller diameter flowlines and short-run pipelines can also benefit from the ballast provided by SMARTMAT.
Hydrodynamics and cathodic protection engineering is conducted in-house to ensure stability of the final product and to provide a formulated corrosion protection system for any scenario.
On location, the range of pipeline stability solutions can be diver or ROV installed using specialised ROV installation equipment that was pioneered by Neptune’s subsea stabilisation division in 1998 to improve installation efficiencies in deep water. Internationally, the full product suite has gained verification from DNV and Bureau Veritas.
