News

Neptune’s Subsea Stabilisation business in Singapore has recently completed a number of projects for various oil and gas clients in Vietnam.

The preliminary scope of work included two freespan correction campaigns on the PM3 Ca Mau Gas pipeline on the Su Tu Vang field, which is located southeast of the Ba Ria-Vung Tau province. The campaigns included a combined 96 man days offshore and the 100% successful installation of 94 groutbags.

Following this, the business performed a freespan correction campaign for the Bien Dong Petroleum Company’s Moc Tinh and Hai Thach fields. This included the design and fabrication of custom made anti-abrasion flat top groutbags, which were designed to facilitate pipeline movement across the top of the groutbag.

The third scope of work entailed the fabrication of 215 SEAMAT concrete mattresses and installation equipment for the Dua flowline and GEP pipeline for Premier Oil Vietnam Offshore. The mattresses were all fabricated locally in Vung Tau utilising local content.

Neptune Chief Executive Officer, Robin King, said “the completion of these recent projects in Vietnam reflects our ongoing South East Asian expansion strategy. Our Singapore base is well positioned to provide our demonstrated local services and capabilities to clients in other key oil and gas regions in South East Asia”.
